Before we get to the treasures, I'm REALLY excited to let you know that today I'm guest posting at The Blah Blah Blahger for Tool Talk Tuesday! J.J. has a fantastic series goin' on, so check it out!
Now for an easy project to please your TEENAGER. Yes, I said PLEASE your TEENAGER. It IS possible, just doesn't happen very often.
My 14 year old daughter loves design too, so we've had fun decorating her room. On a very strict budget, of course. The first issue we tackled was jewelry storage. The girl LOVES her necklaces.
This next idea was hers. My girl LOVES fashion too, and thank goodness she's not into expensive fashion, as long as it's cute, she doesn't care where it came from. She saves the tags from her clothes and decided to make a collage out of them.
So, my friends, give it a try. YOU, TOO, CAN MAKE A TEENAGER HAPPY!
Now, link up those projects! (please be sure to link back to REINVENTED in your post!)

Love the collage of tags! What a terrific idea!
ReplyDeleteCute and clever in deed. Love the tag idea.

What about teenage BOYS? I'm gonna need to start making an "idea file" to survive the teenage years. I have about 10 years to get ready, though. ;)
ReplyDeleteMy niece is 14 too, so I'll have to pass these ideas on to her! :-) thanks for posting!!!
ReplyDeleteTwo great ideas! I especailly love the tag collage. I love the colors and the edginess and narturality of it. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteYou can make a teenager happy, hehe. That cracked me up.
ReplyDeleteHer tag collage is super cute!
Great ideas! I also hang some of my necklaces on a peg rack (exspandable type).

Very cute! Nice tag collage and way to get her involved helping. I posted some quick bedroom ideas today too. I'm linking back! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe tags are brilliant!
ReplyDeleteCute! I used to save the tags from my clothes too. :)
ReplyDeleteHow do I link to you today?
ReplyDeleteLove that collage board, what a great idea your daughter had...too cool!
ReplyDeleteNice! I have a fantastic earring holder that I came up with through a Works-for-me-Wednesday suggestion. Use a kitchen cooling rack - and if you want to make it cute, put a fun fabric or ribbon border around the edges.
ReplyDeleteAlso - when you want to paint something wooden like that, what paint do you use?
I absolutely love the framed tags!!! What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThis is my kinda blog! I love reinventing things. I turned an old dresser into an entertainment center and it is my favorite piece of furniture. I'll have to post it on your Mr. Linky.
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative daughter you have, I love the clothing labels as art.
LOVE the tag collage! What a smart and savvy girl you have there.
ReplyDeleteI love the collage board, what a neat idea and could be adapted for lots of other things. Thanks for sharing,,
ReplyDeleteGREAT JEWELLERY HANGER AND I THINK YOUR DAUGHTER IS TAKING AFTER MOM, SHE IS VERY CREATIVE, LOVE HER IDEA FOR THE TAGS.

After I read this post I remembered I'd made some jewelry storage and never hung it up! So I was at least motivated to get that done. I finally posted it and I think I was channeling you because I started rhyming...HAHA!
