Paper Product Perfection

I am in loooooove with a roll of Contact Paper. This is no school girl crush, either. I am committed to a long term relationship.

If you’ve not tried CHALKBOARD CONTACT PAPER, then, girls, you’re missin’ out. I saw this product originally on the Happy Nester and I couldn’t wait to try it. I found mine at for $5.99.

I still love my chalkboard paint, and I don’t think that quart will EVER run out, so I’m sure I’ll find plenty of times when only paint will do.

BUT…for small, quick projects like THIS:

You just can’t beat the 30 seconds it took to cut out a label and stick it on. SWOON….
The edges don’t even have to be perfect, it looks more like paint if they’re not!!

(that’s the excuse I came up with that worked for me, so I’m stickin’ with it)

This stuff is smooth as silk to write on.

I even made some luminaries for our Ohio State vs. USC game party Saturday night.

We’ve had spaghetti every night this week. I needed the jars.

See the sand and tealights? Must have candles, it’s a night game.

Have a great weekend everyone! Saturday night is our party, on Sunday I turn 42 (yikes!), and next week I REALLY WILL start painting the powder room. See ya then!

By the way, I’m a little (okay a lot) late, but I’m linking up to Kimba’s DIY party. Head over there now!

  1. Hey girl – just had to give a shout out – O-H……

Cute luminaries…. would steal the idea, but we’ll be in MI Saturday night (HORRIBLE… Horror of all Horror’s!!). :)

    and… HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :)

  2. OMGosh……….LOVE it!!!! I haven’t seen it around here but can SO see it for several projects around here!
PS-you must mean another USC than ‘mine’….. (South Carolina)=–you prob mean Southern Cali)??

  3. OK. This stuff looks awesome and I can say I’ve seen people highlight chalkboard paper – but not in a contact roll like this. I’m wondering – what’s the price like on it?

Your candle holders are really cute. So, when’s the Ohio vs. Michigan game? THAT’S the big one.

  4. Chalk board contact paper – brillant! And something little kids can help you with without spilling or wearing a lot of chalkboard paint (hey, it’s pricey I want more of it on the project than the kid!)

  5. I just ordered BROWN chalkboard paint for the drawers on my daughter’s dresser but I need some of this for other projects. I can’t wait!! I’ve already got ideas swirling in my head.

  6. I’d never heard of this product: thanks so much for telling us about it!

Those jars with the tea lights–now that is just brilliant. Luminaries that can change as needed. Excellent!

Sorry about the way Saturday night’s game turned out–who would have ever thought that could happen? Unbelievable. I hope you guys had a great time, anyway.

    Take care!

  7. Ok, this is life changing…STOP.THE.WORLD. Who knew there was such a fabulous product out there? Not me. i will now make it my life’s mission to find chalkboard contact paper.

And I think we are going to have to dine on spaghetti every night this week so that I can make those adorable luminaries for our annual Halloween BAsh! Too cute.

  8. I’ve been saving spaghetti jars as well, for a different project.
Just wanted to come by to touch base. My blog has been growing so rapidly I haven’t had time to come for visits. I miss all of my blog friends and needed to stop in just to say hi and invite you to come for a visit as well.
