Whew, it’s been a STRESSFUL couple of days.
First, the good news. I lost THREE pounds.
Now I’ll tell you why I couldn’t eat. Our precious dog, Archie, has been hospitalized with pancreatitis for the past two days. We brought him home yesterday and are HOPEFUL that he’ll get better.
It’s no fun explaining to your even more precious children what will have to happen if he doesn’t. I don’t want to think about it either.
I need some FEEL GOOD pictures today, so I’ll share a few I’ve been saving for JUST THE RIGHT MOMENT.
I want to live in this room. All that red and white…swoon. just love it. (picture found on Restyled Home) Do you think that’s a puff ball garland? I wonder if you could make that with cotton balls…smile.
Lovin’ this ornament garland too. How fabulous on a mantle. (I can’t remember where I found this, if you know, leave it in the comments, please!)
This one’s from Better Homes and Gardens. No one ever closes drawers at my house, anyway, I should just add some ornaments to them. Wrapping paper in boots? Genius.
Buckets instead of stockings. This is fantastically fabulous. How cool for a fireplaceless house. (also from bhg)
Must go stuff another pill down the dog’s throat. If you haven’t tried this, you haven’t lived.
Have a great weekend everyone. I’m hoping to feature some Trash to Treasure highlights on Monday.

I'm sorry to hear your dog Archie is sick! :(
Glad the dog is home with ya! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pics. Thanks for sharing and reminding me I need to subscribe to BH&G again! ;)
Glad your doggie is better. :) I really love the bucket idea. That is inspired.
Awww, I'm sad about your sick pup. I totally understand where you're at. With an aging dog and even more aging 2 cats, I'm not looking forward to the latter scale of their lives. LALALALALA... subject change!
Hang in there girl.
Thanks for today's inspiration!

I've tried to shoot a syringe full of medicine in a cat's mouth. Not much fun either. I hope Archie gets well soon.

Aw! I hope Archie feels better soon!
Love that bucket idea!!!!
Merry Christmas!!!!!
Hang in there! Hope Archie gets better soon!
Oh, Kimm, I hope your doggie is completely well very soon! It's so hard when one of our four-legged family members is sick. Bless his heart--and yours.
Aww! I've had pancreatitis so I know how your poor doggy feels! Just awful! Thanks for sharing the pretty pictures!
I love the pics!! Sorry to hear that your fur-baby isn't well. I work for a Vet and we have this genius product called Pill Pockets. They are these little edible things (stink to high heaven but dogs are crazy for them) that you insert the pill into and then pinch closed and the dogs takes them without any hassle! Or another tip: try putting a glob of peanut butter on your finger and then put the pill into the middle of it. Then open Archie's mouth and stick the whole thing to the roof of his mouth. In the effort to get the peanut butter licked off the pill usually goes down too! But get out a camera first, cause it is funny to watch!

Hope your dog is better real soon. Thanks for the fun inspiration - I love that ornament garland too. Have a good weekend!
Awww, I'm sorry your doggie isn't feeling well! I hope he's better soon. I second the pill pockets. We had an elderly dog that had to have heart meds twice a day and those were lifesavers!

oh boy...I hope your pooch gets better. I still remember the loss of special pets and have had to coddle a few kids with the loss of a family pet or two...no fun. Isn't it amazing how we always look thin for all the wrong reasons??? I hate when people say, "you look great thin". If they only knew what got me there. Feel better. I was wondering if you could help me out with a Give-a-Way I'm having. Can you help me promote it on your blog since you have so much traffic going through daily? I would really appreciate your help. It's a REINVENTION TOO & I THINK YOU'LL REALLY LIKE IT!
I so hope your Archie is much better soon. Having just gone through the loss of a beloved dog, I know what you're going through. Just give him lots and lots of love and hugs, you'll both feel better! Keeping you all in my prayers, God loves the animals too!
I am so sorry to hear of your dog's illness. Such a stressful thing at this time of year. The photos are lovely. I am swooning over all the ice skates on that first tree.
Those are all so cute and fabulous. I love everything - especially the puff garland and those buckets are adorable!
I hope your dog continues to get better. Mine love ours and I can't image how sad they would be if she was sick.
XOXO

Wonderful pictures and great ideas. Holding good thoughts for your dog. We just went through marathon vet bills to get a cat well. She is quite "friskie" now and hope Archie will soon be the same!
I loved those simple moss wreaths above the bucket stockings!
Praying for your pupster.
