Trash To Treasure Round-up

Happy Friday!!!  If you haven’t yet entered the Pretty Stinkin Green giveaway, click here to get your Pretty Stinkin self in the drawing.  You DON’T want to miss out on this one, seriously.

Y’all really brought your A game to the Trash to Treasure Party this week.  We had 88 partiers!  I’m pretty sure that’s the MOST EVER, and I’m so proud.
Here are a few of my faves.
DSCF2297-1Sarah had TWO chairs to makeover, but when one of them wasn’t structurally sound, she just framed her favorite part!  Fabulously frugal wall art, and a place to sit for under $10.  From The Byrd’s Nest.

12This idea is so freakin’ GENIUS, I can’t stand it!  The girls at Drab to Fab bought thrift store books and decoupaged them with decorative paper and embellishments.  I am seriously drooling here, and plan to shamelessly copy this.

DSC_0032_editedWhen I get my decoupaged books done, I’m gonna make a moss topiary in a bowl to sit on them!  Isn’t this just lovely, and perfect for those of us who kill real plants?  This is from Miss Mustard Seed, guest posting on Somewhat Simple.

P1200042A refurbished frame and a PLACEMAT as wall art.  So cool.  From SP Squared.
100_3862Do your kids steal your tape?  Mine do.  The Girl Creative found a solution with this Dollar Store wall art.  Fab!
Watcha doin’ this weekend?  Give one of these projects a try, you’ll be glad you did!  My HOME DECOR SWAP is tomorrow (yikes!), so I’m going shopping for fabric to make curtains for the family room.  Nothing like a party to motivate me to finish some projects.  Oh, and the spending freeze has been temporarily lifted, just to get me through this weekend.   Have a great one!

  11. The clever use of the chair piece is awesome! I really need to cultivate the ability to see things from different perspectives, instead of always using them for the purpose they were intended. www.satisfiedsole.com
