Y’all really brought your A game to the Trash to Treasure Party this week. We had 88 partiers! I’m pretty sure that’s the MOST EVER, and I’m so proud.
Here are a few of my faves.
Sarah had TWO chairs to makeover, but when one of them wasn’t structurally sound, she just framed her favorite part! Fabulously frugal wall art, and a place to sit for under $10. From The Byrd’s Nest.
This idea is so freakin’ GENIUS, I can’t stand it! The girls at Drab to Fab bought thrift store books and decoupaged them with decorative paper and embellishments. I am seriously drooling here, and plan to shamelessly copy this.
When I get my decoupaged books done, I’m gonna make a moss topiary in a bowl to sit on them! Isn’t this just lovely, and perfect for those of us who kill real plants? This is from Miss Mustard Seed, guest posting on Somewhat Simple.
A refurbished frame and a PLACEMAT as wall art. So cool. From SP Squared.
Do your kids steal your tape? Mine do. The Girl Creative found a solution with this Dollar Store wall art. Fab!
Watcha doin’ this weekend? Give one of these projects a try, you’ll be glad you did! My HOME DECOR SWAP is tomorrow (yikes!), so I’m going shopping for fabric to make curtains for the family room. Nothing like a party to motivate me to finish some projects. Oh, and the spending freeze has been temporarily lifted, just to get me through this weekend. Have a great one!
