GUESS WHAT??
Okay, I’ll tell you.
It’s Trash to Treasure Tuesday, and I actually have a PROJECT to share!!
Can you believe it?
It’s been so long, I kinda forgot how to post a project. I totally forgot the BEFORE pictures, so you’ll have to use your imagination…
The whole story started with these eight12x12 canvases that I used for wall art. I covered them in scrapbook paper to match the ugly wall color in our family room. When I finally changed the wall color, I reused four of them to spell this:
The rest of the canvases have been sitting in my basement collecting dust, until this weekend when I got suddenly REALLY tired of my plain white tile backsplash in the kitchen.
Like, REALLY tired.
I’m also really tired of trying to manage all of the small slips of paper in our house that seem to have important information on them. So I made these:
I covered right over the scrapbook papered canvases with drop cloth fabric and my glue gun. I used some letter stamps and black fabric paint to add some lettered cuteness.
They are hung on the wall with 3M picture hanging thingies. Those are some fabulous thingies, let me tell you.
That’s it, I DID IT! I managed to catch up the laundry, dust, vacuum AND do a project this weekend! And no one starved in the process. Woohoo!
Link up those projects, I can’t wait to see them!

Love this idea of your canvas wall art for organizing loose papers and notes! I'm a neat freak and hate having loose papers everywhere. I may have to try this one day!

Those look so cute. How do you stick stuff to them? With thumb tacks? Or is it magnet? Glad you got back to normal this weekend. I always figure if the kids are smiling, fed and bathed and I got one project done it was a successful day.
ReplyDeleteLove the canvas memo boards, awesome idea!

ReplyDeleteGreat ideas for wall art. I'm looking for some new things to hang around the house. The walls are still pretty bare in places and we moved last summer!
ReplyDeleteIt is so hard to keep track of all those papers! Mine are currently in a grocery bag...awesome organization huh?! Needless to say this is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the party!
