Hello friends, it’s my favorite time of year again.
No, not spring, althought that sounds nice, we had FROST on the ground just yesterday.
I’m talking about FLEA MARKET SEASON.
It may be flea market season all year round where you live, and if it is I’m insanely jealous, but here in Ohio we have limited access to other people’s JUNK.
One of my favorite things to shop for at flea markets is ARCHITECTURAL elements for my home. I live in a fairly new house, built in 2000, and other than a little crown moulding, there’s not much interesting architecture. I know that some of you live in gorgeous homes built in eras when corbels and fancy mantels were common place, but the rest of us like to add just a few of those elements to our sometimes plain tract house decor.
THAT’S where flea markets come to save the day. Architectural elements are fairly easy to find, and though some may consider them TRASH, they become instant TREASURES in your home.
