Hello there! I’ve really enjoyed having you stop by every day.
Today I want to talk to you about getting your pretty out of hiding and putting it to work.
This gravy boat is much happier holding my toiletries than sitting in my cupboard waiting for gravy.
I don’t even make gravy.
This vintage art piece has been laying around waiting for a purpose. What an awful way to live. He didn’t have a picture hanger and I wasn’t sure how to add one because of the shape of the frame.
So he became a tray. On my desk.
Wanna know the story behind why I needed a tray on my desk?
Well…I had a pretty plate serving this role. Another fantastic idea of mine. Then the shelves above my desk, upon which I have stored my stacks of decorating books and magazines, came crashing down one day while I was at the grocery. The pretty plate was crushed. So was I.
The engineer said I put too much on the shelves. Fed me some line of bull about weight distribution, and the capacity of the wall anchors…
If your old wall art isn’t pretty enough to live as a tray, take it outside and spray paint it into beauty.
You could totally use leftover spray paint for this project.
If you want to break. all. the. rules, use something that is SUPPOSED to be a tray as art.
I’m a crazy pioneer. ;)
Have a great night! Meet you back here tomorrow!
