Hi friends! I am kind of excited to share this project with you today. It’s fun, colorful, and graphic (three of my favorite adjectives); as well as totally budget friendly and easy to switch up for the seasons.
That’s where I got the name “switch up graphic wall plaques.” I’m clever like that.
So, let’s get crafting, shall we?
(just so ya know, there are affiliate links in this post. if you choose to purchase your supplies for this project through these links, I’ll make a small commission to help support Reinvented. Thanks.)
I found these wood wall plaques at Target on clearance in the party section. See that $1.48 price? Woohoo!
I bought three of them, AND these two thin wood shapes from Michael’s. They were $.39 each.
I sanded the plaques smooth, and gave each a coat of Linen White paint.
Next I taped off some imperfect stripes and added Cracked Pepper.
At the risk of stating the obvious, I just eyeballed them. (wink)
Now for the “switch up” part. I grabbed a pack of 3M strips.
And I cut one up in to small pieces.
I stuck a small piece on each wall plaque.
And a piece on the back of each shape.
Stick a shape on a plaque, and you have THIS!
The BEST PART is that the shapes remove easily and can be switched out for the seasons. Christmas trees anyone? Snowflakes? Hearts? Shamrocks? Aahh, the possibilities.
If you’re not a seasonal decorator, try an initial, or a favorite number.
I love how they “float” a bit off of the plaque.
Thank you so much for reading and sharing my posts!
What do you think? What would you add to YOUR switch up wall plaque?
