How is everyone? Stuff is crazy here, as usual. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t know what to do if it wasn’t. ;)
So, anyway, it’s Tuesday…and you know what that means…
Yep, I’ve been digging in the trash pile again…
It all started with this chalkboard in our dining room. I love it, but unless we’re hosting a wild party with a fabulous menu of goodies, it sits blank. And dark.
I am in the process of making over our dining room, and turning it in to a more casual and functional space, so I wanted to add some fun trash to treasure wall art over the chalkboard for those dark days.
I dug through my frame stash… then I dug through my paint stash…then I dug through my glue stick stash…
and now my chalkboard looks like this.
I like the contrast with the chalkboard in color, and with the plates in shape.
Modern art from the trash pile.
It’s fun and light. Just want I want for a family space.
It’s kind of hard to see the colors in these bright photos, but the large frame is off white, the middle is aqua, and the other three small frames are a light gray. No, there’s no Cracked Pepper. The chalkboard is all the dusty black I need.
What do you think? Do you hang empty frames on your walls and call them ART?
