DIY Buffet Cabinets For The Dining Room

Hello my sweet friends.  I hope that you are having a wonderful week, and staying warm where you live if it’s as cold as it is where I live.  I want to talk dining rooms today.  In my 2015 (yes, you read that right) home goals post,  I listed a dining room makeover as one of my intentions.  And I’m still working on it.  I repainted the walls to lighten up the space, but that’s is as far as the makeover has progressed.

Looking for inspiring ideas for DIY buffets for your dining room? Check out my inspirations and how I solved my dining room storage problem here!

(wall color is Behr’s Swiss Coffee)

Since we don’t eat in the dining room often, I’d like this space to be flexible as well as functional ,  and some stylish storage would help.  Storage in the form of a DIY buffet cabinet under that chalkboard would be perfect, so I’ve been doing a little research.  I found some inspiring possibilities to share with you.  I’d love to know which is your favorite!

    1. thanks Karen! I hated the original coppery color, so I just added a little turquoise chalk paint (Riviera from Maison Blanche) to make it look tarnished. :)

      1. Hi Kimm!
I love the colour too! And defenetely I´m going to try with that with an old chandelier that I´ve got in a second hand shop!!
        Many thanks!!

  1. I like the Ikea hack. I like doors for storage areas because of dusting and hiding stuff. to me storage space is not storage if you can see the contents.
