Hi everyone, Happy Friday!! I know that some of you will have to be dragged kicking and screaming in to Fall, but it is honestly my favorite time of year. I am all over fall decorating ideas NOW, and when the calendar strikes September 1st, I will be DONE with summer. When you’re almost 49 and you are ALWAYS hot, peppered with flashes of spontaneous combustion, summer can be rough. Just sayin’. ;)
So let’s talk Fall, ok?
Fall Decorating Ideas
This post from The Shabby Creek Cottage is proof that you don’t have to go all orange on Fall. Bring in touches of nature and display those touches in a beautiful vase (or a Mason jar!) that fits your color scheme. Pumpkins come in all colors now, and if they don’t come in your color, they are easy to paint.
I’m not an over the top decorating for any season, usually decorating our front porch and mantel, and just a touch in other spaces. This dining room from My Fabuless Life with touches of cozy plaid is perfect!
Speaking of mantels, don’t you just love the soft, natural colors of this one from An Oregon Cottage? And there’s no orange! :)
For those of us with tiny decor budgets (raising my hand high!), let’s remember that God provides all of the seasonal color we need. Go pick some apples (this is especially fun with tall kids like mine. ;)) Throw them in a bowl, stylishly, with some old wood and metal. Check out this centerpiece from sweet friend Pam, from House of Hawthornes.
Not to beat a dead horse or anything, but here’s more proof that all we need for gorgeous fall decor on a budget is stuff from the yard and the grocery with something rustic for texture. From Refresh Restyle.
