Upcycled Basket Wreath

Happy happy Thursday my sweet friends!  Today is one of my favorite days of the month, the Thrift Store Decor Upcycle Challenge.   Thrifting is my jam, you know, and I quiver with excitement as the weather warms up and we get closer to flea market and yard sale season.   I have an insanely cheap and easy upcycled basket wreath project to share for this month’s challenge, and I can’t wait to see what my friends have done with their finds.

Ok, so let’s talk thrifted baskets.  Last weekend I played my favorite game:  ring around the Goodwill.  You know the one; donate at the back then “ring around” to the front and buy something fab.  The engineer LOVES this game.  ;)

So I bought this sweet little basket for 99 cents, and I completely forgot to take a before pic.  Just picture a cute flat basket orange-ish stained basket perfect for hanging on the wall.  Got it?  Good.

I snagged a can of matte spray paint in Robin’s Egg blue  and quickly covered that orange hue.

Isn’t she cute?  A faux peony is the perfect touch for spring.

This pretty basket would make an adorable spring centerpiece for a small table too.

I think this is the easiest thrift store upcycle ever, but it’s one of my favorites.

    1. Thank you Erlene! I think this one struck me as having wreath potential because of the generous “lip”, it’s easy to add flowers or plants. Happy Sunday!
