Hey hey friends! Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I appreciate you. This past Sunday I shared some wood stain tips on a Facebook Live video you can watch here. After I finished, I had a pretty stained and painted piece of scrap wood and an idea. I gathered a few spare parts from other projects and created an industrial style candle holder that will be a blast to decorate for every season. I’m going to show you how to make your own, and I have an awesome announcement, so be sure to scroll to the end!
DIY Industrial Style Candle Holder
Check out this pile of scrap wood and spare parts. I might be crazy, but I’m get pretty excited by piles like this. ;)
After staining and lightly painting the wood (remember to watch the FB Live to see how!), I painted four small wooden dresser knobs with some metallic paint and attached them to the bottom of the wood plank with glue.
To hold the candles, I used three PVC pipe end caps painted to look like old galvanized metal. Check out my tips for painting literally anything to look like old metal here.
This simple piece will be fun to style for the fall and holidays. I’ll keep you posted! :)

And NOW for our fun announcement. The engineer and I are opening a Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery here in our beloved Columbus. We are beyond excited and hope to be open by the end of the year. My sweet hubby will be the chief baker, so you know these will be the most precisely baked cupcakes EVER. ;) Follow along with us on Facebook and Instagram, won’t you? Thanks!!
Have a great weekend friends!
